Are you interested in hacking the largest real estate database in the Netherlands from inside a football stadium?
We offer you the opportunity to work with the biggest real estate database in the Netherlands containing millions of home listings. NVM is the largest real estate branch organization in the country: 75% of all homes sold in the Netherlands are sold by a NVM real estate agent.
The NVM is organizing a hackathon called ‚Hack that home‘ in collaboration with the University Twente, NDIX, Novel-T and Kennispunt Twente. It will take place during the ICT² event in the stadium Grolsch Veste (Enschede) on the 27th and 28th of June. The hackathon starts the 27th of June at 12:00 pm and will end the 28th of June at 12:00 pm, the judging will take place at 14:30 pm.
All NVM-members exchange information about the properties they list, like the transaction price, size and location. This data is stored in an extensive proprietary database, managed by NVM’s data-business brainbay. Only NVM-members have access to this database. Until now…
You’ll work in teams with analysts, marketeers and real estate agents to enrich the real estate data with open data. Together with your team you will face the challenges of the future head-on.
The challenges
How can a real estate business compete with big tech and can our data help with this, is data missing and what data would you add?
How do you think real estate agents stay relevant and play into these or other digital driven and data powered developments?
How can we discover patterns and predict future trends and outcomes from the data we have today and how can we utilize it?
How can we enrich our data to help real estate agents in helping to consider sustainability when selling or buying homes?
The winning team will of this hackathon will be offered a serious shot at further development of their idea together with NVM.
